In this season, the show went back to airing one new episode a week, but stayed in the hour-length format, filling up the second half-hour with episodes from previous seasons and some of the prime-time specials from the 1980s. This entire season, along with the second half of season 6, is available on Garfield and Friends: Volume 5 DVD set. Also w orth noti ng is that her e, a new theme song was add ed that was written by J.R. Johnston and N eil Panto n. The theme was sung by J.R. Johns ton. This th eme song was not sho wn internationa lly, and as a result, it d oes not appear on the DVDs (although Ga rfield& ;#39;s quotati ons are k ept intac t). This n ew intr oduction sequ ence use d most clips fro m Seasons 5-7 and a few from the fir st two sea sons, as well as Garfie ld in Para dise an d Garfield& #39;s Feli ne Fantas ies. The epi sodes stopp ed using a few seconds of the theme play ing in the episode title cards af ter season seve n&#39 ;s fourt h episode; music from the epi sodes wer e used in the title card s until the sho w ended, even thou gh season six used mu sic from some of their ep isodes.详情
